FAQ

Common questions

+ Why am I required to test my backflow device?

California water authorities require annual testing on any device that protects the public water supply — typically irrigation systems, commercial buildings, and properties with auxiliary water sources. It's a compliance requirement, not optional.

+ Do you submit the paperwork to the water district?

Yes — we file the certified test report directly with your water authority (Cal Water, Golden State, City of San Luis Obispo, etc.) so you stay compliant without follow-up.

+ What if my device fails the test?

We can repair most RPZ and double-check assemblies on the spot. If it needs replacement, we quote the new device and re-certify after install.

+ How long does a test take?

A single device takes about 30 minutes. Multiple devices on one site are tested together to minimize disruption.
