Who handles backflow in Paso Robles

The City of Paso Robles supplies the water and enforces annual backflow testing. The County of San Luis Obispo helps by mailing the test forms to property owners. You'll get a pre-printed form with your device's details, and the tester completes and returns it.

What Paso Robles properties need a tested assembly

The City requires a device on every commercial and irrigation meter. RP assemblies go near the meter at industrial, commercial and multi-story buildings, landscape services and any site with an auxiliary supply. That covers wineries and production facilities, downtown tasting rooms and restaurants, hotels, and the business parks along Highway 46 and the airport area.

How we handle your test

We test each assembly with a calibrated differential gauge: both checks, and on an RP the relief valve. Most single devices take about 30 minutes. For a business, we test before you open or after you close, so the water's never off during your hours. We carry repair kits for the common Watts, Febco, Wilkins and Zurn assemblies, so most failures get repaired and retested in the same visit. You get a copy of the report, and we file the certified copy with the County and the City. A passing test that never reaches the district counts as no test.

Paso Robles notes

Paso gets the hardest freezes on our route, and exposed RPs are the ones that crack. We point out exposure at the test and can add an insulated cover. Wineries often have several assemblies: domestic, irrigation, fire, and process water at the crush pad. We test them all in one visit, scheduled around harvest and weekend tasting traffic.

What Our Customers Say

I highly recommend Modern Perspective Plumbing! I called, and they were able to send someone to my house in a very short amount of time. Ed was friendly, personable, and easy to work with. He explained everything clearly, did great work, and the pricing was fair. It's so refreshing to find a company that provides excellent customer service and quality work. I wouldn't hesitate to call them again or recommend them to others.

Eddie was able to squeeze me into his schedule fast to help me with a bathroom remodel that I had already started demo on before I called him. When he showed up, he saw my old type M copper coming up from under the slab and advised me to replace that before it failed like half of my neighbors. He re-piped the house and the new bathroom within a couple days. Very clean and professional, highly recommend Eddie and Modern Perspective.

The team at Modern Perspective Plumbing are top of the line. Excellent quality work and even better human beings. Our old water heater was leaking and needed to be replaced. MPP visited same day to check out the situation. Eddie replaced it the very next morning after I finished water damage remediation. They've earned our future business and recommendation. Give 'em a call; they'll take care of you.
