One area, several water suppliers
The Five Cities share a coastline but not a water system. Grover Beach, Arroyo Grande and Pismo Beach (which includes Shell Beach) each run their own city water. Oceano is served by the Oceano Community Services District. For backflow, Grover Beach, Arroyo Grande and Oceano work through the County's cross-connection program. Each town has its own page, with the details for that supplier.

What coast homes deal with
Salt air corrodes exposed brass and copper: hose bibbs, backflow assemblies, outdoor gas fittings. Many Five Cities homes date from the 1950s through the 1970s, with galvanized supply lines that narrow over time and cast-iron or clay sewer laterals that roots find their way into. When those systems fail, the result is low water pressure, slow drains and backups after the first big rain.
See repiping, sewer camera inspection, and sewer backups after the first rain.

What Our Customers Say
I highly recommend Modern Perspective Plumbing! I called, and they were able to send someone to my house in a very short amount of time. Ed was friendly, personable, and easy to work with. He explained everything clearly, did great work, and the pricing was fair. It's so refreshing to find a company that provides excellent customer service and quality work. I wouldn't hesitate to call them again or recommend them to others.
Eddie was able to squeeze me into his schedule fast to help me with a bathroom remodel that I had already started demo on before I called him. When he showed up, he saw my old type M copper coming up from under the slab and advised me to replace that before it failed like half of my neighbors. He re-piped the house and the new bathroom within a couple days. Very clean and professional, highly recommend Eddie and Modern Perspective.
The team at Modern Perspective Plumbing are top of the line. Excellent quality work and even better human beings. Our old water heater was leaking and needed to be replaced. MPP visited same day to check out the situation. Eddie replaced it the very next morning after I finished water damage remediation. They've earned our future business and recommendation. Give 'em a call; they'll take care of you.
