Tankless Water Heater Installation: Central Coast

Tankless units pull more BTUs, so the gas line usually needs to be upsized. They also require new stainless venting and condensate handling. The unit itself costs more, but the lifespan is roughly double a tank and energy savings are real.

Yes — as long as the unit is sized for your home. We size based on fixture count and peak simultaneous demand. A properly sized Navien NPE-240 can run two showers and a dishwasher at once.

Yes — annual descaling is recommended, especially with Central Coast water. We offer a flush-and-inspect service that keeps the warranty intact and the unit running efficiently.

Yes. We commonly install Navien NPE-240A units for 4–5 bedroom homes. For very large or commercial demand, we cascade two units together.

Most residential tankless installs land in a range that depends on gas line sizing, venting, and whether we are converting from a tank. We quote a firm number before any work starts — no surprise line items. Call (805) 788-8444 and we can give you a ballpark over the phone.

Often yes. Tankless units fire at a much higher BTU rate than a standard tank, so the existing half-inch line frequently needs upsizing. We verify the meter capacity and run the load calculation as part of the quote so the unit performs the way it should.

A straightforward tank-to-tankless conversion is typically a one-day job. Installs that need new gas piping, a longer vent run, or a recirculation loop can run into a second day. We pull the permit and schedule the inspection for you.

For most Pismo Beach and Shell Beach homes, yes — endless hot water, a smaller footprint, and a longer service life than a tank. We spec stainless venting and corrosion-resistant components because salt air is hard on equipment near the coast.
