Can’t say enough to describe our appreciation for the job they did on our water leak in the ceiling. We...
Signs your sump pump needs attention
- It runs constantly, or cycles on and off every few seconds
- It hums but doesn't move water
- Water is standing in the pit or on the floor around it
- It makes grinding or rattling noises
- It's loud or smells bad when it runs
- The float looks stuck or tangled
Repair or replace?
A stuck float, a blocked discharge line, or a failed check valve can often be fixed. If the motor has burned out or the pump keeps failing, replacing it usually makes more sense. We'll show you what we found and give you the price for each option before we start.
What we do
- Sump pump replacement and new installs
- Float switch and check valve repair
- Discharge line repair and rerouting
- Sewage ejector pump work
Water where it shouldn't be often involves more than the pump — if the source isn't obvious, our leak detection service finds it before anyone quotes a fix.
Common questions
+ Why does my sump pump keep running?
The most common causes are a stuck float switch, a failed check valve that lets water fall back into the pit, or more water coming in than the pump can keep up with. A plumber can usually tell which one it is on the first visit.
+ What's the difference between a sump pump and an ejector pump?
A sump pump moves groundwater or surface water out of a pit. An ejector pump moves sewage up to the sewer line from fixtures below it. They're different pumps and they aren't interchangeable.
