Galvanized Supply Lines
Built before 1970, most SLO homes used galvanized steel pipe for water supply. After 50+ years, galvanized corrodes from the inside out — slowly reducing water pressure, discoloring water, and eventually failing. If your water pressure has dropped or your water looks rust-tinged, your galvanized pipe is telling you something. We repipe in PEX or copper and can complete most whole-home repipes in 1–2 days.
Cast Iron Drain Systems
Older SLO homes have cast iron drains under the slab and in the walls. Cast iron lasts a long time, but not forever — after 50+ years it develops scale buildup, cracks, and root intrusion points.
